The Royal High School Club was
founded in 1849 with the objective of maintaining the history and standards
of the principal school of Edinburgh. It has entered its
third active century with the same objectives in mind. The
move from Calton Hill to Barnton in 1968 and the change to comprehensive
education
in 1973 have not changed the objectives of
the Club, who welcome all former pupils to its membership

Royal Preview for Two This event was the re-enactment of
an Evening News article of 24th April 1968 when two 7th form Preparatory pupils
were shown the school to which they would be moving the following term.
The two pupils, along with a number of contemporaries, and two current 7th form
pupils from a feeder school, re-enacted the Evening news article. Photos
will soon be available in the news pages.
The 2018 London dinner on Friday 16th
March at the RAF Club was a resounding success, Tom Bacciarelli, recently
retired 25 year head of English at the school, and famous for Rugby coaching and
big stage show productions forming a great onstage duo with new young Club
President Paul Fleming. The London site has a wide range of
