Your Editor stopped updating his blog about a year ago when someone opined that the “recent projects seem to be endless. So good that you have been so busy, but I found myself losing interest as I scrolled down…” I assumed he was absolutely right, so simply stopped, but thought better of it, and have decided to start an annual version, which hopefully is more palatable. - National Centre for Music Building (former Regent Road school Building) – plans A comprehensive and beautifully illustrated set of documents covering the entire site. RHS London Club Secretary Alex Prentice visited the site in April 2024, and his report includes several photos, a couple of which show that the Science/Gym block and the ‘Grubby’ at the east of the site have been completely demolished, only a pile of stones remaining.
- In December, we caught up with Allan Peden, 1964 School Captain, and he provided an entertaining account of his authorship of The 1971 Complete Edinburgh Pub Guide and other publications.
- Izuka Hoyle (one of our featured biographies), landed a substantial role in the BBC detective series ‘Ludwig‘. Six episodes were aired between September and October this year, and a further series is planned for 2025
- The 2024 Christmas card was sent along with a Newsletter to all FP’s on our email list. We now have all SIX previous Captains sending an annual message to former pupils.
